Hi
I'm having a few issues with the 3UK 3G USB modem, and a Sony Vaio TZ series.
It has been working fine no problems full HSPDA speeds for several weeks, but now it seems to be failing on me. The laptop runs fine, modem connected, control window open and talking to the modem no problem, in signal 3G or better, but when i click connect, the whole laptop cuts out. Complete power off - have to pull battery out and put it back in to get it to start again.
There seems to be no logic as to why this happens. It happens on AC power as well as battery power. The laptop runs fine without problems with the modem plugged in but not connected. I tried the modem on a desktop PC and it also worked fine.
Is this a sign of an issue between the Vaio TZ and the modem? Or is a modem issue? Could it be the signal cutting out as I'm moving on the train? It's done it at home too with a solid signal.
Anyone else had any similar difficulties?
Thanks in advance
