****Cross-posted to 3 UK forum*******

Hi all,

I have 2 PAC codes from O2 and am considering where to go next.

I currently have an unlocked N95 and want to use it to its fullest potential, whilst my other phone (the wife's) is only really used for voice, texts and MMS

I have been looking at the various 3 and T-Mobile tariffs and frankly am struggling to make a decision. They both have pros and cons

Mix n Match (with X-series or unlimited internet)
Pros
1Gb internet (should be more than enough), Live Messenger, Yahoo, Skype (don't currently use), Slingbox (undecided) etc..
Decent number of minutes/texts for the money. Best European roaming charges

Cons
MMS chargeable, video minutes/messages chargeable if free phone taken, dubious customer services

FlexT with WebnWalk

Pros
Allowance includes MMS, 1Gb internet, 2texts = 1 min, compatible phones use HSPDA for faster downloads.

Cons
Voicemail not free, not many "free" bundled apps, unsure of 3G coverage

Really what I am after is opinions one way or another, possibly highlighting some things I haven't thought of!

Think it depends on the person to be honest, I suppose a couple of things you may need to think about:-

1) Choice of handsets
T-Mobile whoops 3's ass with this, they are always releasing excellent new handsets while 3 seems to struggle! I realise that you are using the N95 but are you happy with it? How long do you thinkyou want to use it before upgrading to a new handset?

2) How many MMS messages do you use a month?
As you say, the MMS are extra with 3, now personally I use the MMS once in a blue moon and the only reason I do send pictures is because I know I have free mms and I feel I should use them! Otherwise I wouldnt bother

3) Roaming
Do you go abroad at all? Then 3's roaming charges (especially in the countries where theres a 3 network like Denmark etc) is hard to beat. Note tho that the data tariff x-series doesnt apply abroad, or at least it didnt went I last went to Denmark (so i could call home using my inclusive mins, and check planet 3, but couldnt check hotmail on the interweb:-( )

There are many other questions but i doubt it comes down to which is better than the other one, itll come down to which is better for your specific mobile habits. Check your O2 bills and see where you spend the most cash and see which offers better savings/service!

Just so I know im with 3 and I have x-series (I have the Direct Text 1300 tariff with x-series) and the service and coverage of 3g network is fantatsic, the only issue I have with 3 is that their range of phones is pap!

I am currently on T-Mobile with my contract due to expire in a few weeks and I am probably going to go to 3.

I have needed to contact customer services a couple of times recently and it has been rubbish.

They seem to have stopped responding to emails completely now.

I logged a support call at the end of August and I still haven't heard anything. I then emailed them last week about upgrades and I have heard nothing about that either.

different people have different experinces but as far as I have found the customer services at 3 are very good, admitably they are very obviously not from the UK and have very strong accents some times but they are always very helpful and if you are patient then I find they work eveything out in the end!

I had to deal with them a few times as initally the phone I requested arrived damaged (it was referbished), i added x-series to my account after buying the contract and I moved address and each was done in one phone call each.
