Have you tried phoning them as I have mailed them about another issue and their mail system seems to be a bit flaky over tha past couple of days (taken a while to receive an acknowledgement autoresponder etc)

I've never had a prob getting a response from them (I'm on Pay and Go anyway and I'd never touch contracts with a barge pole) but its bloody infuriating that they haven't responded to you (and no one on here had the decency to help you)
Companies are funny when it comes to credit checks, I have a good credit rating too but I've been turned down for a couple of credit cards I applied for and when I asked why the response I get is "the scoring process is confidential and so so we cannot discuss specifics"

Guys,
Bit of a late response, but, if you feel that you have great credit, then were declined for a SIM Only, 30 day contract... either:
* You've given inaccurate information, i.e. wrong address, wrong bank details, etc etc.
or
* Something's seriously wrong !
This would be waving huge red flags if it happened to me. First thing you should do is get your credit report from Equifax and examine it thoroughly !
ID fraud is extremely widespread in this country, it could be that someone's taken something out in your name and it's screwing your credit up without you even being aware of it.
Yes it's possible that their credit acceptance policies were a bit higher that month (these tend to vary constantly in the mobile industry), but this is a SIM only contract we're talking about - it's 100% easy revenue for the operator, you should only get turned down if your credit is REALLY sh!t !
As a sidenote, anyone who's reading this who is concerned with Fraud, or ID theft, should have a read of this, Protective Registration provided by CIFAS http://www.cifas.org.uk/default.asp?edit_id=565-85

Credit checks seem to be a strange thing. A friend of mine is in a IVA at the moment (wrecks your credit file for the next 6 years). However she was able to pass a credit check with O2 at the CPW and take out a new contract. Yet she has various defaults on her credit file but no CCJs.
