Vodafone Direct don't have any further info. It was originally pushed back due to problems with the microphone, now it's down to Nokia. We don't have any info on when it will actually be released yet.

I am pleased to hear that someone else is also frustrated like myslef. I have a long history using both Vodofone and the Nokia Communicator phones & we all know how long we have waited for each new model to arrive.
But this time has been more frustrating than in the past. Made much worse by Vodofone appearing to drag their heels and providing us with very poor, if any, updates or helpful information. Apparently they received a batch of 250 E90's into stock and these were chucked back (sorry returned) to Nokia having failed the Vodofone audio tests.
They obviously blame Nokia and I have now been told by a Vodofone Manager that Vodofone will NOT be stocking the E90 in the near future - bless them. I have asked for a response to my questions from the Chairman or MD office of Vodofone and guess what ... nothing, no reply and I was very polite!
I have also spent almost a whole afternoon going round in circles with Nokia, in fact probably sent all around the globe at the same time, from head office, support to customer service, development and so on. They say the E90 has no problems as far as they are concerned. Nobody at Nokia whom I spoke to, is aware or will admit to, the concern or situation with Vodofone.
Yes, I am really really racked off with both Nokia and Vodofone. Surely Vodofone should be in a position to carry 'some' weight with Nokia - apparently not. Also WHY are Vodofone continuing to advertise the E90 on their website until this evening, and the cost starts 'From FREE'. Also WHY are Carphone Warehouse apparently able to suppy the E90 and register it with Vodofone as the ISP, as apposed to OS2 or whatever they are called. Whatever!
My 9300, yes I have also had the 9500, is now getting tired to say the least and the battery has had it's day, it's knackered. I have looked hard and in earnest for a suitable alternative to the E90 - in reality, I cannot find one - So I really WANT the E90 - but of course - NOT if it has a load of problems that NOKIA cannot fix short term. Maybe we shall have to wait for the E90i version to be released.
Sorry guys, I now feel just a little bit better after my RANT, cheers, Ray Manton ...
