3 are also offering a sweet 18 mth contract on the boring old ordinary n95: £15 p/mth for a 300 mins or texts Flextish deal, plus £12 p/mth for a 120 mins Videocall allowance, making £27 in total. Add £5 for the max data package ....

It's weird, several websites mention Vodafone having the 8gb exclusively, but this news item reads a bit different, in that it states that there are exclusive phones for Vodafone, but does not state if the N95 is one of them (and the fact that the N95 is namechecked makes me wonder if some sites jumped the gun a bit).
Bit of an about face for 3, but then again, they offer full web access - and the one thing most of us can do is find mp3s on the web, without needing to use any of the networks' services.
Just off to dropkick my N95 across the car park...

Dear lord don't let the Superdrug get them in. I'll have to fight the urge to press my nose up against the glass. Then most likely head off and abuse T-mobile for not telling me about something they could not possibly have known about.

I still quite like my 'old school' n95, apart from the battery life.

I don't think I would be so keen if they had held off until the new year before announcing it. As things stand, though, the idea that the old N95 would be equalling the new model storagewise no longer holds any real water. Mass storage requires the correct management software, which I am assuming the N95 8gb has, since the Nokia site says it will hold 6,000 tracks (my old style bricks itself at around 2000, and plays merry hell).
I have been threatening to replace it with the HTC TyTN II, but as I only just got the N95 running exactly how I want (bar multimedia, it's my little portable computer now), I won't be following through.

Dame you all :cheeky: ;)

As I was just trying to get a deal on a N95 with 3 but all I was getting was Mix and match 900 with the video package ( with I dont use :cheeky: on VTT 1000 ), for £29 with the phone for free.

How does that sound?

it's the RAM that's my swinger. The amount of apps i want to run at the same time, the extra will be a godsend. Not to mention the screen, the battery, the new OS...

i call it new OS, but it's actually just a couple of changes. The multimedia menu is totally different, and now has much more features in there. Also when new feature launch (Ngage, Music store, basically anything Ovi) it integrates straight into the menu. Plus there's now an awesome search function. You can launch anything from the phone from a simple search function on the front screen.

Apparently, the latest N76 firmware update has the search feature - looks very smart.

What joy, i'll be getting the new n95 8gb on upgrade at christmas. I like my current n73, but the limited RAM is just a pain in the ass. Oh and having wifi is going to be very handy.

Hi there!

Is it certain that the N95 8GB will be in 3 stores by the end of November? As I was advised in my local store that it'd be more like January, though they didn't really seem to know in all honesty.

If its going to be January then I'll be seriously considering the 6120 or LG U990, but if its definitely coming at the end of November then I think I could just about hold myself off til then!

Anybody know for sure?

How long after featuring in the 3 magazine as "coming soon" do 3 phones usually arrive??
