E65 and Skype on three

I have just purchased an E65 on Three. I have configured the phone to connect to my home router. I am able to browse tha net and receive Skype calls. If I try to use Skype to phone out I get the message that this function has not been enabled. I do not have tha X series add on. Any ideas or has anybody used another VOIP package (Fring, Truphone).

For Skype, you need an X-Series Addon or to use one of the Mix&Match price plans. The reason being is that Skype is not actually a VoIP product on on 3, calls are handled in the same way that a normal call would (i.e. its circuit switched and not packet switched [data])

I've personally not used any VoIP solution on my handset, so not able to comment on the other ones.
