Cancel friends and family and put on a new one?

Hi there!

Just a quick question- I've come to the end of my 18 month contract and nobody had mentioned to me that even though it is a Flext35 Web+Walk tarrif, with the f+f discount (from a friend at tmobile) my upgrade options are severely limited (ie huge prices for the handset! - I'm looking at getting the n95).

I phoned retentions and the best deal was to give me the handset for 120 which is still loads as over 18 months I'd still be giving t-mobile 405 quid over the course of the year! plus the handset price come to £525!

Not good.

So, my friend has said I can use another of his 5 friends and family discounts- my worry is, is this allowed?

I'd be cancelling my contract with them (putting my current phone as PAYG) and then setting up a new contract with the friends and family discount. Will they see that I'm the same person and not allow it? Or is this ok?

it's good having the friends & family discount, half price line rental for life.

but when your upgrade us due, it's difficult to get a decent upgrade.

as far as i know you should be ok getting another line put on friends and family, i've never come across any problems.

If you were to buy a N95 off-network you'd be paying £350-500, so quite yer whining.
