Can someone help me out?

Ive received 1 bill out of the last 4!!!
I even asked for a duplicate & they wanted £5, but managed to get them to "waive" the fee - guess what, it didnt arrive!

I have an outstanding bill that I refuse to pay without receiving a Hard Copy.
All they keep trying to do, is to refer me to check online.
A digital bill is about as acceptable as a digital signature IMO - Both can easily be edited/changed.

Any Ideas where to go from here?
I didnt receive my Bill for July, received the one for August, none for September - not even the duplicate & Not received Octobers - which should have been with me yesterday!

They have no restricted my outgoing calls & no doubt it will be recorded on my credit score

This is an ongoing problem & not just limited to the last few months.

Fedup of speaking the unhelpfull lot who can only seem to read their cards.

Arent they supposed to supply me with a bill by their T&C's?

I dont accept Digital Billing.

It can easily be edited/changed. Besides that, I keep the Hardcopy for my own records.

I want Hardcopy's of my Bill, like they say they will provide, but im not receiving them. This is the problem I am trying to sort out.

As stated before, the copies on my3 are exactly the same as the bills that you get in the post. The printing system for the bills, uses the same reference files for them as you get on the online system.

Surely, its easier for someone to intercept your paper bills and change them... Digital bills cannot be easily changed.

I think you are being picky and blaming what is a postal problem on 3. I would take the option to view your bills online, its exactly what you'll get in the post... (plus you can print htem yourself if you want a hard copy).

I dont own a printer. I am not being picky, Part of their T&C's is that they will send me my bill. I also need to Giro slip thing at the bottom, so I can pay my bill at the post office. - I would love to see how someone can intercept a postal bill, open it, edit it & manage to seal it all back up.

My three bills are hit and miss, so I find it easier to use my 3 but I tend to think it is royal mail rather than 3. The other good thing about my 3 is that you can see how your current spend for the current month is too

I cant see how it can be royal mail when my internet provider, bank, mortgage, insurance, etc. Bills all get to me without fail. Its only 3 that dont get me my mail. - I thought it may be Royal Mail problem, but when its only limted to one company, theres somthing not right.
For the Record, my October Bill just turned up. Still missing July & Septembers!

I have never not received my 3 phone bills or my bank statments yet my mail goes missing all the time!

I have complained about it to royal mail but nothing changes!

If it was a three problem don't you think there would be more people complaining than just yourself?

Are you having a laugh, you are downloading PDF's from a secure site, so you suggest that someone just happens to be monitoring your connection at the time you download, hack the encryption and then tamper with your bill...

Ummm...

Whereas in the post someone could substriute your bill with a fake one, in a brand new fake envelope and they have as long as they like as you don't know what day they posted....

Anyway regardless what the PDF or printed bill says, are you now saying someone is hacking 3's internal systems to alter your bill...

Again ummmm...

I can't believe 3 doesn't offer paper free billing, those silly thick A4 envelopes that can be 10+ pages for me are a bit of a joke!

Yes you are probably entitled to a paper bill, without reading the terms, but refusal to pay without it would be dodgy ground as you can even partially view it on your handset!

Eggtastico

your the one using the term hack, not me.
What I am saying, is thats its easier for 3 to change whats on their systems & database than it is for 3 to change whats on the printed copy of my bill.

Besides that, I need to Giroslip to make payments. - Ive had bad experiences in the past where a lot of money was wrongly debited from my account. Enough to balls up my bank balance that I got hit with over £100 in charges - the mobile company would only pay for 1 charge going OD - not any of the others. So now, I dont pay electronically & I certainly wont accept an electronic bill.

If you do, then good luck to you. I preffer a Paper bill & then go to the post office & pay with paper money.

Its only Three that goes missing & I was wondering if they use TNT Mail & not royal mail (even though both are delivered by Royal Mail - the sorting is done differently - RM just do the final delivery part)

I have never once received a bill through the post from Three despite me ringing them about this on more than one occasion. Ironically I had a text from them a couple of days ago warning me my bill may be late this month due to the postal strikes, I'm still waiting for the first one!

There is nothing wrong with 3's outgoing mail or billing system (i know), stop trying to dispute your bills and just pay. Royal Mail lose thousands of letters a week.

Eggtastico your the one that stated that digital bills can be easily edited or changed which in the context of your issue is not going to happen.
If your not getting your '3' bills on a regular basis there is clearly somekind of problem either with '3' or 'Royal Mail'. I always get a bill on time as do 99.999% of others.
If you want a '3' paper bill thats fair enough but to argue that you wanted it due to 'online' versions being easily tampered with is a wild and untrue statment at best. I know you need the Giroslip to pay at a post office but you could pay on a debit card direct with '3'.
To withhold payment is extremely naive, you are the only one that will suffer....
Also if you had a DD balls up you should have contacted your bank and quoted the DD guarantee scheme, you are entitled to 'ALL' charges refunded due to a DD error

fwiw, I still not received a bill.
They have now sent a second duplicate - If this dont turn up, the CAB say I should have grounds to cancel my contract

acoolwelshbloke
08-10-2007, 08:29 PM
Then the CAB are wrong!

You would have to prove that 3 are at fault and not royal mail, how do you intend to do that?

If the problem was at 3's end then there would be lots of customers complaining. Only ever seen a couple on here myself.

Bunch of cowboys.

You're the one with the funny hat riding the horse here mate, your posts have pretty much proven you are attempting to do anything and everything to skirt around the facts.

Also, if you desperately need that Giro slip to pay (considering the other non-direct debit methods of payment) you can print off the first page of your PDF bill it's got one on there too.

I've always received my 3 bill. Without fail.
O2 on the other hand failed to send my bill on more that one occasion. And they actually admitted they'd not sent it, rather than blaming the post.

I don't know why you'd suggest 3 may change the electronic bill. It's a carbon copy of the bill they send you. The only difference is it doesn't show the 3 logo on it, because they print the bills onto pre-printed headed paper. And when you can track your spend via My 3, it would be difficult for them to change your bill without it being noticed by somebody.

I think you are just being overly difficult and looking for an excuse to not pay. You will suffer in the long run as you will ruin your credit rating by withholding payment.

There is no logical reason why Three would change your bill for the electronic. Especially when it's completely itemised (for no additional cost, unlike Orange).

For a Start
I dont own a printer (as already mentioned).

I dont accept electronic billing, the same way financial institues dont accept electronic signatures.

Who's to say Three aint trialing electronic billing & picking customers by random not receive bills & then force them online to find their bill

I have not & will not register with 3 for an online account to view my bill.

I dont see them offering any sort of discount to ditch paper bills for electronic billing - they give a discount for paying direct debit.

finally, this thread is now pointless as Ive cancelled my contract & taken my business elswhere.

There is nothing wrong with 3s billing system. I have now been a pay monthly customer for 3 years and am in my third contract with them and in that time I have received a bill every single month without fail (there have been months when my bank statement has not arrived but my 3 bill always arrives). On one occasion I even received 2 identical copies of my bill (one a day after the first) and when I phone 3 they said the second one had been sent in error and recently I received a bill for £ 0 on a contract that had been cancelled for 6 months.

I emailed Three about this a few weeks ago and they claim to be working on implementing an e-billing system. Seems silly to me receiving a paper bill if you can see exactly the same thing online days before it arrives in the post. Just my 5 eggs

I have to admit whilst i was with them for 3 years i never had a bill go missing in the post! (admitted there where occasions were the bills where 'wrong' but thats another story!) but without fail they turned up within a few days after the billing date!

Orange are a close second with most of the bills turning up, spetember and october of this year are currently being dealt with between me and orange!

actually we have the same problem of not getting a paper bill, after months of getting paper bills they suddenly stopped, three tried to blame royal mail but its not their problem, its three, we can check the bills online, but what if you didnt have access to a pc with internet. something going on if you ask me.
