Dropped my new N80 in a cup of tea, yes silly I know, phone will not switch on anymore. Is it totally buggered or does anyone have any ideas. Have tried all the usual hair dryer, radiator stuff. Been 3 days now and am demented...!! Help please...!!!

As an electronics engineer I'm being serious here - depends if you had sugar in the tea.
Without sugar it is possible if you step in early enough. My method is:1.
Instantly remove the battery. 2. Flush with distilled water (battery top up from Halfords. 3. Dry out slowly over a number of days before reconnecting the battery.
However, the sugar will set off a chemical reaction with some of the components on the circuit board, and if not dealt with immediately will rot them.
Coca Cola is the worse - can rot a circuit board in 24 hours!

Anything that has had water damage is doomed, even if you managed to get the phone working again after it has had major water damage it won't last very long!
The PCB's start to rot!
As DaveC stated Coke is the worst!! :(

M8 i dropped my phone into a pint of water, didnt work for about 4 days, found an internet company which fixes damaged phones on google, cant mind the name right now, they charge a tenner to look at the phone and will tell you the best course of action, i sent the phone away, got it fixed and 9 months later still no problems, worth it for a tenner as it might save you money in the long run.
As im typing this im sure i posted this topic before have a look at some of my posts, the name of the company might still be there!!
was actually my N70, which is almost 2 years old, still works gave it to my m8, the companys name is Phatphones, hope this helps
