Hi all,
Does anyone else have problems with the K800i's built in RSS reader ?
For the last week or so it no longer updates at all :( Just tries to connect but nothing.....All my other net access etc is working fine and I have the 30mb allowence per month which I never get close to using all of, I have tried deleting the feeds and adding new ones, but then it just says "No feed at this address"
I find the RSS reader really useful and miss it :( can anyone help please ?
Cheers
Dave

I am having exactly the same problem on my W850i. I think it's been like this since Thursday of last week (20th Sept). The RSS feature on my Opera Mini works fine but I prefer the built in RSS reader and also very much like you miss it.

Yep, it looks like for some reason its been crippled !! looking on another thread here saying about the new internet usage warning page....
I have set up google reader which does the job, but the in built reader was effortless :( I dont see the point ringing customer service.....i'm pretty sure they wouldnt even know what it was !!

I've been having the same problem here... it seems to coincide withthe change from internet unlimited to internet max as far as I can tell. I've spoken to customer services who've checked everything out and advised me that there is no issue. The best solution they can come up with is to switch the phone off, take the battery out (but not the SIM card, as that would break the phone?!) and clean the battery contacts, then start it back up again.
Needless to say, this does not solve the problem. I wonder if it uses a specific port and they've blocked it.
It's really annoying... like other people have said, it's easy enough to use other software but the built-in reader is so convenient!

RSS is normal port 80, the same as web browsing.
Not tested for a while, maybe it brings up internet warning screen when it trys to connect, so no RSS feed... Although Opera mini works fine.
Will test later, assume you are not roaming when trying to update as default settings for RSS is "only in home nework".

Hi folks,
Did any one of you manage to get this resolved?
I have a K800i on Vodafone in the ROI and my last successful RSS update was on the 17th of Sep. Have tried customer support - who did not know how to fix this. It seems very much related to the problem you are reporting.
