Just finished a call with Orange support which went like this . . .
Me: "Please can you tell me where in my online account I can see the amount of data being used by my mobile?"
Orange: "Please go to 'web address' and login with these details"
Me: "I have those details and I am already logged in to that web site - I can see minutes used but nowhere can I see Mb/Kb used - please tell me precisley what I must click on to see Mb/Kb used?"
Orange: "Please Hold", [2 minutes later] "Our web site is currently being upgraded - you will not be able to access your data useage until 17th October 2007"
Me: "So I cannot access my data usage via my online account with Orange"
Orange: "Correct, the only way to see data used is to call 150 and follow the menu options"
Me "thank you, bye"
GRRRrrrrrrr !
I then dialed 150, selected 'mobile/minutes used' to be told that I have xMb of orangeworld access available this month - nothing about my current data usage !!!!
So, according to what Orange are telling me, I can pay them £8 for 30Mb access per month, and if I go over 30Mb they charge me their full data rate, and they CANT tell me when I am about to go over my allowance !!!
Triple GGGrrrrrr !

Rant over !
Ive had a quick search for network traffic monitor sw for N95/Symbian s60 3rd edition and didn't get anything meaningful, also had a hoke around the phones menu's and searched this forum to no avail.
What do other Orange subscribers with N95's out there do to monitor carrier network (GPRS etc) data useage ?

Have you used the Log in Applications? See what you have used under the packet data tab

Ah lovely, thank you - I knew it had to be there somewhere !
Would still like to keep an eye on Orange's record of my data usage though.

Would you happen to know, does the '30 day log duration' start counting from the moment you reset the log - I guess it does but then I guessed Orange could tell me how much data I use from them ?

They aren't that bad... I have the £5 a month unlimited (well, 1GB) offpeak data bundle, which suits me perfectly as I'm always on a computer during peak hours anyway.
Also, I can use MSN on my phone with Orange, which I understand is blocked on Tmobile WnW :)

Isn't Orange's normal 'unlimited' data tarriff limited to 8mb? 8mb! lol.
Meanwhile, T-mobile's standard WnW tarriff is 50p cheaper and limited to 1gb or something daft, when the plus is even more.
Might suit you, but i'd rather use my phone when I want to, not when my service provider lets me.
It's not blocked on WnW plus. (which Orange doesn't even have).
Typed on my Macbook, using my N95 as a bluetooth modem on WnW!

You should be able to find out how much data you have used in the Orange world. Once you have gone to Orange World on your phone click on your account. It should tell you all your Price Plan details. How many texts you have used, data ect.

You should also be able to get the same info calling 150 then option 1 and then 3 I think.

The £8 anytime browsing isn't quite 8MB, but it is 30MB.. But, yeah, awful data tarriffs was why I switched to T-Mobile for Web'n'Walk Plus.

No Oranges data package is the best for me. Have a old data bundle £8.00 pm for anytime useage and no limit. Have spoken to C/S who told me there is no limit. At the last count had used 1200 meg. And at least with Orange I get decent call quality

I dont get any of that - all I get is an option to "View Your Remaining Minutes" - nothing about texts or data ?
In case I'm just being completely thick, tell me which heading you click through to get texts and data use you describe above - maybe Orange have not made available a page on my account which should be there - if you can tell me the menu/heading you use then I can check once and for all.

You should have to options. Dial 150 then go to the option to hear how many minutes you have left. Once you have done this is should say press 1 for minutes 2 for texts or 3 for data. The other way is (if the automatic system is down you will not be able to access this) go to Orange World on your phone (the normal Orange home page) scroll down and it should give you the option of clicking on your account then as long as the system is up and running you should find all your account info there.

That's Orange's one good package - unfortunately it's not available and was only available for a short time. From what I've read, CS will not add it any longer - the £8 package is now only 30MB.

Okay 150 is no giving me the dtails I need which it wasn't doing yesterday - incidently the option to check voice minutes used is "currently unavailable".
Now, up until this point I had been accessing my account details via the "Your Account Details" button on OrangeWorld.co.uk via my PC, not my mobile. Taking your suggestion I then tried doing this from my mobile just now thinking there might be some jiggery pockery that only made the data usage info available via mobile access, but no - I am still getting only "View Your Remaining Minutes" !!

If the system is down then you will not be able to access from the phone either. Give C/S a call it might be that you need a sim update to get it working. At the very least they should be able to tell you how much you have used.
