US : Exalt Communications announced the launch of the company and its broad portfolio of next generation wireless backhaul solutions. With a keen focus on one of the industry’s biggest pain points, Exalt solutions alleviate costly and troublesome backhaul issues facing carriers and enterprises worldwide. These organizations are in various stages of migration from TDM to IP networks, while they continue to deploy higher bandwidth applications.
Exalt solutions address the network bottlenecks associated with this growing demand for more IP-based voice, data and video applications. “Exalt literally saved the day for one major tier-1 mobile carrier during the recent US Open Tennis Championship played in New York. The mobile carrier was experiencing severe interference issues as it was attempting to backhaul cellular voice traffic from its portable cellular site outside Arthur Ashe Stadium. An Exalt tri-band 5GHz backhaul link, with its high resolution frequency selection capability, was deployed in a matter of hours, and the mobile carrier told us it saved the day,” said Scott Basista, vice president of Transwave Communications Systems, Inc. A key driver behind the Exalt radio technology is the use of its proprietary advanced signal processing algorithms and techniques specifically geared toward improving path resiliency, transmission reliability, and spectrum efficiency.
