Hi,
I have been wanting to change my N73 to music edition for many months now. Three have been calling trying to get me to upgrade so I decided to bite the bullet and change my product code to EURO 1 ME.
The whole process took about half an hour in total. Once it had finished I copied my music onto my freshly formatted memory card and quickly tested out the 'improved' music player. I was surprised. Not by bass surging through my ears as I listened to the sounds of Carlos Santana, quite the opposite actually. Even with the loudness option enabled the music was still too quiet whether I was listening to 50 Cent or Rob Dougan. Is there some kind of law that prevents Nokia from allowing the phones to output a certain volume level or something? This has been the case in my N80 and N73! Another gripe I have with the music player is that the keypad shortcuts have now been removed; you can only use the joystick to change/play or pause tracks.
Although I'm not happy with the music player atleast the default theme looks slick in landscape mode.
Looks like I'll be sticking to my humble 6680 loaded with viking informatic's MP3 Player to feed my hunger for volume on the bus.
Is the music edition worth it? In my opinion, if you're looking to enjoy your music more, I would say no.
