I have a really stupid question but it's really bugging me, I just got a new Nokia 6288 and I can't change the note on the screen that says 'you may make your own note here' can someone tell me how to do it please!!

It's ok I've just worked out how to do it!
But is there a way to get rid of the active standby radio and music player but keep the note on the display?

yes there is
highlight where is says make your own note here or whatever you changed it to
press options
select the first option in the menu (Active Standby)
and change it to off
that will hide the active standby
