Hi, I’ve just updated the Nokia Maps software on my N95 then I downloaded and used the new Nokia map loader to download the Great Britain and Spain maps after uninstalling the old ones, the problem now is when I use maps with no network access and zoom into the map there is no detail, no roads, all my landmarks are there but if I give it network access it loads the detail as I zoom in then if I come out of maps then go back in with no network access no detail again, any ideas? Cheers.

Things just go from bad to worse, went to reinstall the maps and Nokia map loader said “The map data on your device is not compatible with the map data available through Nokia map loader” tried a few time with the phone and my card reader still the same massage that’s with a 1gb SanDisk card, I tried to delete the Private folder but Windows said “cannot delete file: cannot read from the source file or disk” I’ve also got a 512mb SanDisk so I put that in my phone and formatted it then connected to the PC in mass storage mode then started Nokia map loader and it said “No storage media detected” so I took out the card and put it in my reader and it still said no storage media detected, what’s going on? I’ve formatted the card a few times now with the same result, one more thing how do you see hidden files on your phone?

At last found how to install the map data, I had to get the file the way marcw95 said in his N95 and Nokia map loader thread but when I unzipped them to \Private\20001f63 they still did not show up so after browsing my files on the memory card I noticed the same file structure was in \Cities\Diskcache so I formatted the memory card AGAIN then made the \Cities\Diskcache folders and unzipped the maps of the United Kingdom, Murcia, Madrid and Valencia community into there and guess what yes it works I can see all the maps now with no network access
