Hi everyone.

Iv'e been having some ASDL broadband problems over the last few days, and noticed my Mac has an option to connect to the internet via Bluetooth. I tried this, and it works really well with a nice reliable connection that's fast enough for me. I'm on the Internet 10 plan, so only had 10MB to play around with, which came off my Data Allowance in the MY3 area.

I was wondering, does the Internet Max addon still allow access from a computer through the phone as I can see it being a good backup method for connecting, as well as being able to get e-mails on my PDA, or does the Internet Max only allow usage through the mobile phone itself?

Thanks for any help.

No. The unlimited addons are to be used from a 3 phone but to be honest if you stick to the fair use policy which I think is 1GB per month then I don't think they would contact you. To be honest I'm not sure if they know your using it from your phone or PC.

I've used my 3 phone to connect a few time and it comes in handy.

The also offer a mobile broadband service now at www.3mb.co.uk but if you only need it as a temp solution then I would use your phone.

There are certain ways which they can tell whether the data is being used through the phone or a PC connection. Can't remember what exactly, but they can.

Tread carefully, as if you get taught breaking 3's T&C's on this, they could in theory charge you for the data you're using through the PC, and it wouldn't be cheap.

Depending on your own budget, why not get 3's USB modem and get the 1gb per month for £10?

Hi.

Thanks for the info. I only ever really use it to get e-mails either when my ADSL is down, or when I'm away from home.

Thanks again!
