Full internet access for IM?

I've given up on the included Windows Live Messenger on my W880i phone and download an IM appplication (eBuddy) in hopes of getting some sort of IM.

Unfortunately, it doesnt seem to be able to connect? I am on PAYG and am wondering if Three has blocked some sites or something? I cant seem to see/edit my Internet and Java settings... :confused:

I dont use the included WML either as I prefer IM+, even on a contract I couldnt use it with the unlimited internet addon as some ports are blocked on that, but on x-series silver and adove it works fine. This is probably the same case with PAYG internet access.
