Hi there, have been with 3 over a year now, no major problems, happy with service etc. Yesterday i checked my usage and then the 'what have you spent since last bill' and it said £7.57

No to my knowledge the only thing I have spent this month was for a £5.99 game, where £5 came off my allocated downloads, so 99p spend all in.

I called them up to ask what the other charges are for and the guy on the other end didn't have a clue.

Said there was a music video for £1.49 on there, which I haven't downloaded but couldn't see anything else.

Took him ages looking and put me on hold 3 times and just said that when I get the bill it will tell me on there, then call back a query it.

I complained and said that how is that fair that I have to pay them my money then wait for a refund. Bit odd.

Only thing it could be is this new Football 24/7. I added on 17th August then phoned and cancelled it last week and was told that the next money was due to go out on the 11th but as it was free for the 1st month I won't get charged any more.

Anyone else had random charges added?

My 3 had a current spend of £ 0.67 (and I still had £ 3.51 content allowance) that I could not account for and I had not spent last month but when I got the paper bill this was not on it and I did not complain so my3 may just be playing up

I have has the current spend stating odd charges and then when I have received my bill the charges have not been raised. I would wait until you get the bill

I just got off the phone after 3 called me back about my enquiry into a £3.30 charge on my account.

First I was told it was showing up as email and then was told that as I'm on Xseries Gold that it should be part of my allowance.

I was put on hold while, when the guy came back he said that the emails I sent must have exceeded the size limit, I asked what the size limit was and I was back on hold.

When he returned he told me I was charged because I had gone over my 1GB 'usage limit'. I told him my phone only reports around 700Mb of data, total, sent/received (and the bulk of that was the slingbox which isn't metered by MB). I didn't have time to hang around and listen to a script so I just asked if I would be able to dispute the charges once the bill comes in, as that would show I haven't exceeded my 1GB usage limit.

Where you using 3Mail by any chance? That is specifically excluded from X-Series.

Aye, after I posted, I had a read around the rest of the 3 section and found others saying 3mail is chargeable. This must have been it, however it's a shame I had to find out through a forum even though I had trawled the terms and conditions of X-series, Mobile Mail, Add-ons and downloaded a PDF Price list which didn't differentiate the 3Mail service from anything else. :(
Maybe I didn't look thoroughly enough :)

I no longer use 3mail. No need with the fantastic Yahoo go application available. If you haven't already, I would switch to Yahoo. Much better than 3's offering.

Hi all!

Have weird stuff going on with my Current spend, its currently at £10.17! Activated the X-series silver addon on thursday afternoon (25th) and I still seem to keep getting charged for looking at facebook and the like.. anyone have any ideas?

I called CS and they said that I should wait till my bill turns up and see what the charges are being made for and call them to have any money i shouldn't have been charged for refunded, thing is I shouldn't be being charged in the first place? :( I don't think that I'm going to want to call 3 CS every month and tell them that they have charged me incorrectly again..

Just in case, if you haven't already, it may be worth going to My3 and making sure xseries has been added to your account. If so, then don't panic, it's real common for current spend to come up wrong, but the bill is right. Happened to me, and many others.

Normally when 3 activate and add-on such as X-Series, it isn't active until you start your next billing cycle. That may explain it, but if it is the case, CS should have explained it to you.
