I am currently using my 3UK sim in Australia on the 3 Like Home service but cannot access Internet or services however I can receive email. I am using an unlocked N95 that I flashed with all the right Three firmware etc.. This seems to work on 3's other networks without a problem. I have X Series Silver.

As I am going to be Australia for about 5 weeks I also went to buy a 3AU prepay sim to use in an E65 for all my local calls but the phone would not accept it.

Any ideas how to fix this ?

Finally on another note just how good is 3 Like Home ? 3 days in Austria recently using the phone heavily each day and roaming charges of less than a £5 for the time at a festival when I couldn't get a signal on Three. No roaming charges in Hong Kong on my way over here as well. :)

I can't imagine why 3 Like Home isn't working correctly - have you checked that you are roaming on 3 Australia?

A 3 Australia SIM will not work in your 3UK phone. A 3AU phone is completely different to a 3UK phone - and each is locked to their own network. So...basically your phone is locked, and 3AU is being treated as a different network because it is.

Call 333 if you continue to have 3 Like Home difficulties.

It is roaming on 3Telstra but having just checked the sim in my E65 and it being able to access the internet and services it would appear to be something to do with using an unlocked phone and certificates. So it looks like I'll have to use the E65 if I want access to all 3 services and internet whilst over down under.

I can't understand why 3 don't lock the phones as standard across the 3 networks, the same way as the other networks do, because I am now using a Vodafone sim rather than a 3 sim for all my local calls.
