Got an SMS something along the lines of "you have missed a call from *number*

Then it went on to say missed call notification is a free service and gave a short-code to stop further sms.

I just ignored it and deleted it as I wasn't sure if it was genuine or some kind of scam to get you to call/text a number...

Especially as i've not given the number of my t-mobile sim out to anyone since its a Data sim.

They are genuine free messages. Sounds like the caller dialled an incorrect number

To cover all sides, especially your pocket, go to the Icstis web site and use the number checker with the short code that you have from the sms. With the details that it shows send an e-mail ( don't use the 12p + a minute for a landline call, number shown) to tell the company that if it was not sent in error to remove you from their mailing list immediately, and if it was not an error, more reason to remove your details from their records.
This may say you further problems. Also check to confirm that this was not an unsolicited reverse bill text, check with your network to see if you have been charged for the text.

Hope that helps.

*Just noticed that you deleted the sms, I also made a similar mistake. Still check with your network to see if you have been charged for the text. If you receive another then check out the company.

Thank for showing me the sms, the code it asked you to reply to is not a premium rate short code, so you seem to be safe there. Sorry to worry you.
It seems to be a T-Mobile sms, you could check it out with them if they are your network.

Like someone said probably just someone calling the wrong number then.

Was just kind of surprised to have a missed call on my WNW sim.

There are so many scams going around that you can never be too careful, as I found to my cost. I received 3 x sms assumed they were junk and deleted them, as you did, only to find that I had been hit for £4.50. Then came the problem to stop them.

actually I had an iffy looking MMS on my vodafone phone a few days ago.

Although I don't think it charged me anything as the balance checker still says £0.00

If your mobile was switched off or out of coverage and the caller never left a voicemail then t-mobile send you a text advising of the missed call.

Which I can sorta understand but being a data modem no one should be ringing it. ;)
