I got a new E65 last week with 3 and have set up my Gmail through Mobile Mail, as it's easier to get messages than booting up the Gmail application each time. However, whenever I send an email through the gmail website, it appears in my inbox on the handset, is this normal?

Also, I've tried to set up Gmail using the pop3 settings through the E65 email setup (not using MM), as I would then be able to have the phone connect automatically every 30 minutes for messages instead of the constant connection you get with MM. However once the new mailbox has been set up, when I try to connect I always get a connection timed out error message. Any ideas how to rectify this?

And would a hard reset of the phone help in any way or is this not advisable?

Cheers

Hello,
I had simmilar problem. Go to gmail homepage and under settings (or preferences) you can find the settings for use in mobile.Don't forget about in/out ports.

Have you got an x seris add on? I dont think the phones in built mail client will be allowed if you dont have x series. (add on internet max will NOT do it)
