Make sure your firmware is fully updated (to v12) and you have turned on AGPS (settings/general/positioning/postioning methods), otherwise the GPS will take a loong time to find a satellite.

One good way of using the GPS is with Google/Microsoft maps - download MGmaps - it is amazing.

Buya 4gb microsd, you can get them inc del for £35 - be careful of ebay - its hard to guarantee they are genuine cards.

Install Fring - then you can chat using MSN and call/chat using Skype.:)

thanks for the info... i just tryed the gps thing it wanted a £40 subscription to use maps so i'll check out that thing u said... i think it must have the most recent firmware because it has that assisted gps thing and it connected (i think) pretty quickly. i downloaded msn and it works great!! i just had a look on ebay is there a specific breand i should go for i had a 1gb for the n80 made by kingston and it worked fine so i might go for them again and it came with a lil adapter to fit a mmc slot and a lil case. really happy with it though its a great phone!!

Vimio TV - pretty good app - you can watch Skynews/CNN on it.
Sportstracker - if you go jogging, this is a great app, allows you to track your progress on google maps
Quake - you can play the PC version on your N95, look on another thread in here for details.
Truphone - allows you to call landlines around the world for free using VOIP on your phone.
vBag - You can play Gambeboy advance games on the N95

Those are pretty much the apps I have installed on my N95 anyway. Games are pretty limited on it unfortunately. We will have to wait for the N-gage platform to become available.

PS - I have a 2gb Scandisk microSd card hanging around if you want one 2nd hand?? (its only 2 month old - I have a 4gb one now)

how much are you looking for the card m8? i have got a paypal account im not bothered about 2nd hand its not really the type of thing that gets "worn out" it just sits there inside your phone ;) that truphone thing sounds interesting thanks alot for all this info i wouldnt know where to start looking for most this stuff haha!!! btw is there a way to make the sound come out any louder? like the headphones that came with it are really nice and longer than my old ones so i wanna keep usin em just its not quite as loud as id like it if you know what i mean.

cheers, demo!
