I have been playing with MemoryUp Standard Edition v1.8 from eMobiStudio Inc.
It does seem to work, but , it might be my head clearing from last night!
The phone seems subjectively quicker and snappier!
Has anyone else been using this app?

BTW it also gives memory usage bars in real time and defrags and recovers RAM!

Never heard of it. Can you give me link to it?

Off topic; You love exclamation marks don't you.

Is this the one http://www.getjar.com/products/11511/MemoryUpStandardEdition ?

The only problem I have with "memory managers" in general (phone or PC) is that although they *MAY* do what they say they do, on a system with low system RAM to start with - having a memory manager running in the background actually USES memory...?

It's a free download though so I'm willing to give it a try;) I'll post back some results later....

I tried that once.. it has one major flaw - when it gets low on memory it terminates!

So the time when it's most needed it isn't there.. the rest of the time it's taking up valuable memory itself.

Well - I downloaded and installed it...

I'm not very impressed - sure it has nice fancy "real time" displays for total / used / un-used memory but even after selecting "memory boost" that is supposed to defrag & clean the phone's memory I didn't notice any difference????

I've now un-installed it because to me (personally) it is a waste of battery power - but other's may find that it works for them:confused:

Yes it does terminate! And that is an obvious problem that may be due to the N95's inherent lack of ram.
Not perfect by any means. I'm experimenting with the various settings to see if I get any difference.

Tried it out. Think I'll be sticking with Taskman. Doesn't die when RAM is low.
