Hi,

I found out through 3 Customer Service that they don't have any SMS bilateral agreement with Tele2 Eesti (Estonia) which means that no texts can transit from one network to the other. I assume that these SMS bilateral agreements are signed at the same time as typical GSM roaming agreements, something that 3 doesn't have either with Tele2 Eesti. Roaming is ensured by a single operator in Estonia: Elisa.

I also own an Orange France pre-paid mobile. Just my luck, Orange France don't have a GSM roaming agreement with Tele2 Eesti either. What about the SMS bilateral agreeement. Does anyone know if there's one in place?

Thanks

For 3: http://www.three.co.uk/personal/coverage_/calling_abroad_/messaging_from_the_uk.omp and select Estonia

What is rather interesting is that they don't have an SMS Interconnect Agreement for SMS with Tele2, however they have one for MMS messages. So you can send MMS messages. (which costs 35p).

Sadly, I don't have the information on Orange France SMS agreements.
