When will the upgrade to WM6 be available

Hi, All
When will the upgrade from WM5 to WM6 be available from Vodafone UK. I see this now available from the following o2, T Mobile, HTC and Microsoft. My main handset is a V1640 also know as the Qtek 9000, HTC Universal, T Mobile MDA Pro, o2 XDA Exec. If anyone as information or see's a link for this would you kindly post here.

Do you want an official upgrade or just an upgrade. xda-developers have update roms for the universal.
I upgraded my Vario II months ago that way.

Thanks for your reply, I too have seen the XDA upgrade but would prefer the official one. My device is still under contract and I also read of some problems with unofficial rom upgrades.

i just need the wm6 for my vodafone v1640

is it arabic enabled?

and am i gonna loose my contacts or after sync i will get them back?
(not the outlook contacts coz i don't have internet connection on my vodafone)

Firmware/ROM updates are always a potentially risky procedure on any phone so I would advise saving your numbers to your SIM (or backing up to your PC) prior to flashing the ROM just in case.

In any event you should get them back if you resynch as the process compares the contents of the phone with the PC.
