Hi there.
As a former employee of Vodafone HQ, my family had 3 phones - 2 on staff contract and 1 business. When I left 3 weeks ago, I was advised to sort out the phones so i did - cancelling one, moving one to Pay As You Talk and moving my business one to my new business.
The Businesss and PAYT worked perfectly but only this morning I received a bill for over £30 for the other phone stating that I was on Anytime 75!!
A heated call with Customer Services followed who advised that they had never received notice to cancel the one phone! That phone had not been used for over 3 years, not even for single call and suddenly I had been swapped to a contract which I would not have chosen, eventhough the store within Vod HQ had confirmed that I had completed all necessary steps. Call guys are now telling me that I have to pay yet another £30 for the 30 days notice!! When I asked who gave them permission to put me onto a contract, they advised that I was notified by text message! This would obviously not have been picked up as I had not used the phone for years!! (which is why I cancelled it!!)
I am furious as common sense shows that this phone has not been used for 4 years, I received no paper notice of being swapped onto any contract plus I did my part in cancelling the staff contract! The call centre was unbelievably rude and would not listen or help! My new business is putting through approx £1000 worth of business each month which Vodafone will lose if they don't sort this out! I cannot afford to loose £60 when I have not made evn one call on this phone which is lost in the depths of my kitchen drawer! Are they allowed to be such crooks? Should we not have received notification of the intention to swap my contract and what about the 'lost letter' I sent?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Perfectdaze.

Sorry to read the problems you've had with your staff deal.

Working for Vodafone, I can tell you leave Vodafone, your staff contract is automatically put onto the lowest priceplan, unless notified to do otherwise.

It is always best when sending anything to any company to send it either recorded or special delivery. This way if it isn't delivered, you will have proof of it being sent.

I can look into the problem for you, and hopefully resolve it, but to do so you will need to get into touch with us. If you go to the contact us section on the Vodafone website (http://online.vodafone.co.uk/dispatch/Portal/appmanager/vodafone/wrp?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=Page_BOS_ContactUsContent&pageID=PCU_0001&redirectedByRedirectsImplServletFlag=true), you will have the option to send us an email. If you include FIT135 anywhere in the body of the text, it will be picked up by a team who will be able to help.

Hi Purfectdaze

Sorry to read your tale of woe, as an employee of VF you obviously enjoyed a luxury that the rest of it subscribers don't, 'Good Service'.
Now you have joined the ranks of the VF 'rabble', as we seem to treated, this is what you can expect from now on I am sorry to say.
Hope you sort things out, but from my own experience, it wont be easy.
Good luck.
