I have been with Vodafone many years and have had up until Wednesday a Sony Ericsson K750i. I have been waiting for a few months for the K810i so I could have a long overdue upgrade. I was told by a sales rep that Vodafone weren't stocking the K810i as the camera on it wasn't as good as the K800i and it didn't have the Cybershot. I was assured the phone was not as good and was coaxed into ordering a K800i on a years contract at my current rate of £35 a month.
I have since done some homework and am disgusted to find the K810i is in fact as good, if not better than the K800i.
I am peed off because the sales rep lied and I have now got a phone I didn't really want which I am going to have to send back, I am even more peed off because I was told a load of rubbish to keep me as a customer, as I was going to find a new company to supply me the phone, and I am peed off because you can get the K810i on a Vodafone contract if you go through any of the following stores 3G.co.uk, phones2Udirect, mobiles.co.uk, mobileshop.com etc etc and what's more the phone comes free with the tariff that I'm currently paying!

WHAT IS THAT CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL ABOUT - Sort it out Vodafone!

Can understand your anger, But if you are wanting to upgrade and are selecting your phone, Shouldnt you really check the specs and info on the phone first, Make a decision then phone back? Your not being forced to say yes or no on the spot you do have time to think these deals through

You do have 14 Days to return the handset and cancel your account should you wish to do so aswell, I'd reccomend going down that route

In my opinion the K800i is a much better phone, Cant stand slim phones but thats just my opinion :)

Nothing should excuse a sales rep from lying in order to make a sale.
It is all about the money and not enough about the customer.
I know I can return the phone but my point was, Vodaphone shouldn't lie to people in order to sell phones and keep customers happy - it's not ethical and it doesn't work.
I had checked the specs on the K810i two months previous to this 'incident', but I didn't have the info with me when I called to order my new phone so when the lady told me I was wrong about the new model having cybershot I thought she must be right.
The reason she told me that was because I said I was going to leave Vodaphone to get a contract with someone who would supply me the phone - she had already told me that Vodaphone were never going to stock that phone as it wasn't as good as the K800i.
When I called them to complain about what happened, they said the real reason was that Sony Ericsson wanted too much money for the new model.
So, as I said 'What is that customer service all about?':tired:
