Hi everyone,
Does anyone know if web'n'walk works abroad? If so in what countries. I was hoping to be able to use sip voip when abroad to save on roaming charges. T-mobile mention that roaming charges apply to web'n'walk plans but not sure what they are.
Has anyone tries Truphone with web'n'walk?
Thanks

I dont think we'n'walk is available at all abroad, not on any foreign network. Standard roaming rates should apply.

I've got an MDA Vario which has connected up by GPRS in Denmark and the low countries. However, you pay a few pence for every kb, so its not something that you would want to use for a VOIP call. I normally turn off the automated email downloads and traffic news updates in CoPilot when I'm abroad.

I have used my pda connected to the net via infra red from my phone in USA and Canada, I used msn messenger everyday over the 14 day holiday and used it for about 20 mins a day, when the bill came through it was only for £2.40 which I thought was good value, I did search the web a few times aswell. I was not on webnwalk just a normal T-mo monthly tarrif.

Have spoken to t-mobile and apparently they charge £7.50 per Mb when abroad. This would explain snowwolf's charge - they would only charge for messanger data exchange, infrared net connection is not through GPRS/3G so doesn't count as using t-mobile's data connection. Shame really that they don't extend their inclusive plans to roaming...
