I am a bit fed up with Vodafone to say the least. I have been with Vodafone for 12 years and apart from upgrading my phone periodically have never really had any dealings with customer service. I renewed my contract 3 months ago for another year. Two weeks ago my daughter lost my phone so I claimed under the insurance. As the phone I had (Motorola V3x) was now a discontinued model, Vodafone gave me a choice of several different models. I chose the Motorola V6 Maxx as it was the only new model on offer and was the model replacement for my old phone.
The phone arrived two days later but I found it to be faulty as the screen kept going blank. I contacted Vodafone and organised a replacement which they did promply enough, however when that phone arrived, it completely refused to power up. Having now been without a contract phone for nearly 10 days, I contacted Vodafone to ask if I could request a different model and was told that as I had chosen that model through the insurance, that was the model that I had to stick with even if it meant that they had to keep sending out replacements. They offered me a £5 credit as compensation and sent out another phone. However, this has a fault too, the '5' key doesnt work, no matter how hard I press it. Thus has left me with a very bad taste in my mouth regarding that type of phone and I am now very tempted to send the phone back and cancel my contact as Vodafones policies do not seem to sympathetic to the customers problems.
Any ideas on what I can do
Thanks
