Vodafone is getting a push at Phones 4u with a three for one bank holiday offer. Customers signing up to the Family tariff on a £40, 18 month contract will get two free Vodafone prepay handsets with a combined value of £250.

Customers must choose either an LG Shine, Nokia 6300, Sony Ericsson W610i or Samsung D900 as the contract phone. They will then get free calls to three nominated Vodafone numbers as part of the Family tariff deal.

Phones 4u is also offering its customers a £50 instant cashback deal which does not reduce staffs' commissions. Customers upgrading or signing up to a new contract on Vodafone or upgrading on O2 at £40 a month will get £50 instantly. Staff normally offering cashback to close deals get a percentage of their commission reduced.

"Customers signing up to the Family tariff on a £40, 18 month contract will get two free Vodafone prepay handsets with a combined value of £250."

An excellent way to attract the WRONG sort of customers. I guess ebay will be full of these phones for sale, in the same light N95's at present.

That was always a concern when the deal was announced last year.
