extra extra read all about it!
well t-mobile are doing a trial of TV on handsets to a select group of customers approx 120,000 who will have a leaflet posted to them explaining how it works and what they need to do. This is the best bit staff get mystery shopped and recently fone magazine infact wanted to know how they could get TV on their mobile, but the network has stressed under no circumstances are we do demo this to any customer. Is this the way to really do business have people come in asking us, only for us to reply only a select group can take part in a trial and sorry i cannot demo the service to you.

I think its only the mobile tv we don't have to demo. The one in the mystery shop would have been done way before this trial came out, to be honest on the review the mystery shopper was screaming for a web and walk demo but the guy couldn't be bothered, As regards with them wanting TV if the guy whapped out an N95 he could have demonstrated the video's in the video centre to show it worked. In my opinion and I don't want to sound nasty it looked like the guy couldn't be bothered with the mystery shopper and wasn't enthusiastic at all. Not to come across big headed or anything but I feel this as I once came top in my city in Mobile Business with something extremley similar to his mystery shop, and the reason some of the people came bottom in my one was down to their enthusiasm and product knowledge.

The staff issues are global to t-mobile, not just retail. The difference being the rest of us don't complain all the time on message boards!

The problems don't get resolved as the budgets simply don't allow for more people to be employed. We are expected to make adjustments and work smarter, which is perfectly reasonable. As a business you're better off having 2 people working harder than 3 people twiddling their thumbs half the time.

It works and I tried it...but I wonder if they were supposed to give you that information!
Basically until the end of June, you can get a free 24 hour TV pass. After end of June time it becomes chargeable, with a 24 hour price and a monthly pass available at 3.50UKP
Interestingly with the N95 having so many problems streaming on the T-mobile network, I wasn't sure if it would work....but it does, and the picture was better than I expected.

no it shouldn't been given out, as 120,000 slected customers will be leaflet dropped to promote the service as part of a trial. The service will be launched fully later this year by which time 3g and hsdpa will be more available

erm no i have seen no presentations since i started player, which was about a year ago, i have now left t-mobile for various reasons. Training or briefings were never a strong point or should say lack of is all i can say tbh

Thanks thank you very much
What people need to remember is that regardless of network there has to be the capacity and infrastructure to support new services. 3g or HSDPA will be the minimum speed required and as it stands all networks need to improve on this area!

what i really like, which doesn't require HSDPA or 3g, is the streaming of internet radio stations using real player and the like. I think that's under used/advertised.
if i were to get n95 on t mobile,(flex 35 wnw)can i stream channels, like on voda sky sports or sky news, rather than download the video.
seems like t/mobile can not do such basic stream..
