All retail staff are supposed to use streetcheck in react when doing any new connection for a customer but is it accurate and telling the customer the truth about their signal erm yes and no. We have had stretcheck stating coverage good 5 bars, when the customer gets home no signal. they call customer service who look on their systems and they say to the customer sorry no coverage but the customer has a certificate from us instore saying they can. Same company 3 systems to determine signal all give different data.

I know how you feel.

In another thread i just posted about the same issue (plus a really bad CS phone call).

My streetcheck says Good 2G and Good 3G.... yet when i phoned and asked them they said 'Oh no it says Poor 2G and no 3G.

When i asked why this was so different they had no answer

To be honest i think the whole street check thing is a joke as according to when i took out my datacard plan it had me as having no 3G or HSDPA and just 2G. The agent did point this out to me as well as saying its probably wrong and if you have problems just bring it back. Anyway to cut a long story short took it home, set it up and found full HSDPA signal. Someone needs to update their coverage maps i suspect. However none of the other networks are any better really.
