Hi, my first post, so I would like to say a quick elooo...

1) Ok, Im on flext 35 and have few times switched to flext 50, as i tend to use up all my allowance, when it comes to Upgrades how do they calculate what handset you get + discount....?

2) From what i understand they look at your spend, is this for the full length of the contract or the final 6, 9 months?

I work for T-Mobile and i do not think there is a set rule on what discount you get given when it comes to upgrading your handset. Customers i deal with seem to have profiles low, medium and high, and depending on which one you fall into determines the discount you receive. Also we now have to call loyalty and retention to discuss upgrade handsets and price plan changes, and this is where t-mobiles so called upgrade policy becomes a total joke. For example one customer can be on a £15 a month plan and get a top handset for example Sony w880i or Nokia N73 free of charge, then another customer who spends say £50 on line rental and still goes over their allowance they get yes RRP which means they have to pay towards the handset, the logic behind this, well there is none. I am embarrased to even work for this company at the moment, as it seems loyalty of customers means nothing to them. When a customer says they shall cancel their contract due to our upgrade policy i don't blame them.

Hmm dont see the logic in that myself,

at o2 customers are given a banding, higher the banding the higher the range of handsets are free to customers, its based on the spend, so basically the people who spend alot get good phones without any charge which i think is only fair.

T-Mobile and logic do not belong in the same sentence, the company is going down the pan, customer service issues, staffing problems, poor signal coverage which streetcheck is supposed to give a true and accurate reflection of the signal in certain postcode areas, and even that has wrong data
