Iam about to go on the deal via virgin media. You pay £10 a month and you get 300 mins to any network plus 300 text. Is anyone on here taken up this offer? If so what do you think of it?
:D
yes its a good deal and a lot cheaper then all the other networks for a sim only deal

where have you seen this deal for £10 a month as it has it at £20 on their site. - http://www.virginmobile.com/vm/paymonthlySimOnly.do
you can get 150 + 150 for free on a six month cashback deal with e2save.
they have some very good o2 sim only deals at the moment - they were even cheaper in March...

You have to go through virgin media to get the £10 deal. In other words you have to have another virgin media service like internet or tv. I have internet, house phone and cable tv all through virgin media and thats why I got the mobile deal for £10. If I canceled my service with virgin media I would have to pay £20 for the 300 mins & 300 text deal. Its whats known is the 4 for £40 a month package.
The deal I have is as follows :
Cable Tv = £10 a month for over 100 channels
House phone = £10 a month. Free weekend calls to landlines
Internet = £10 a month. 2MB download and no download limits.
Mobile Phone = £10 a month 300 mins to any network anytime plus 300 text messages.
Cracking deal. Plus virgin have replaced my old cable box for a snazzy V+ box.

Offtopic: Well try and tidy posts up without making things personal "forum_basher".
I'm actually with talktalk - and we get their "free" broadband. But you do have to sign up for their phone service in order to get it. £22.50 for phone (LLU with talktalk too) per month with free broadband - in the long run we're saving about a tenner a month than if we we're still with BT.
These deals ARE good - only if you have something else to go with it.

I really think something should be done about that during advertising. It's unfair on people who think you can get it straight off. They only find out about it when they go to sign up, and will probably feel pressured into signing up for the other neccessary things in order to get it.

I wouldn't say its a confusing thread. Each service is £10 a month with virgin media as long as you take 2 (or 3 if you want virgin mobile deal). Nothing confusing about that.
I haven't payed loads more as my internet used to be £17.99 a month for 2mb. Now its £10 a month.

scorpionatthepc just to let you know to tidy up this thread I have merged a couple of your posts together

i think as a sim only deal its one ofthe best out there, though i want to take out there 4 for £40.- BUT the deal is you have to take out one tv service, one broadband one land line and the sim only deal! you cant mix and match, ie 2 landlines one tv line and one sim only deal!
BUT as previoulsy stated, Virgin mobile CS are awesome about the same as orange CS!

i had used that 300 text and 300 mins bundle when i got a new sim as my stepdad found a better offer than the sim i was using before.
it seemed great and i was using it for a few months but then when it was meant to top up it wouldnt. i couldnt text or ring the 789 or anything like that. my mum rung up and what had happened was that it said i run up a bill of £160 and it wouldnt let me call or anything until i payed that bill.
ive now recently changed sim and got a better bundle of 400 texts for £10.
from my experience i think that bundle isnt very good.

you must have gone over your allowance for your bill to be £160 pound that would be why they suspended your line all networks do it just some of them have a lower cap ie i think virgin is £100 pound a month cap.
