Hi, I bought 2 T-mobile contracts (Sim Only) one on Flext 35 and the other on Flext 50 with web n walk plus. I am using Nokia 6600 and a T-Mobile MDA Pro for the two. Uptil 1 month ago I really enjoyed it , since I have bought a house and moved. To my utter surprise I don't get any signal inside my new home,:alien:  only 1 bar alongside the windows. Same with my wife's phone. I get pretty good reception just outside my house but virtually none whatsoever inside. I called T-mobile but no use, as the street checker gives a Good Signal rating for my street.
I am really stumped , don't know what to do. Can't call, can't recieve calls, can't use my web n walk unless I get out of the house.
Can some one help sort this out. Still got 16 months each on these contracts.
Ciao

Well i hate to say it but T Mobile doesnt have the best reputation signal-wise. The 1900Mhz band that they use doesnt penetrate buildings as well as the 900Mhz band the o2 or vodafone use. The fact that you get some little signal on the Windows phone may mean a change of phone for the 6600 may be needed as that phone is quite old. You could borrow a phone off a friend to see how it performs. The MDA pro in my experience was never good at holding signal- it didnt do very well when i had it and im living in London where signal is great nearly everywhere. A change of handsets may well be in order here or at least you could update the Radio on the MDA and see if that makes a difference at all.

Thanx for a prompt reply,
I am using the latest Windows Mobile 6 rom and radio upgrade, with little or no success on my MDA Pro.
I have tried the Motorola A1000 with the same results. :(
Is there any gadget available to boost the signal into my house? or do I need to cancel my account and pay the penalty and move to someone else like O2 or Vodafone etc.
Thanx

Your only realistic option if you want good coverage in the house is to go for another provider. Sadly, you are stuck with T-Mobile until the end of your contract unless you can transfer the remainder of your contract to someone else or pay off the remainder.
I would also try a few of the free payg sims first th see which network has the best coverage in your house. All houses are different. The construction of my kitchen is such that non of the networks give me a reliable signal there - move rooms and it is wall to wall.

Have you asked them to send out some new sim cards? This can sonetimes help. Or even give your Sims a clean this has helped me in the past. Have you tried a manual roam ?

Just to keep you on the right track, it's GSM1800 the 1800Mhz band that we use @ T-Mobile.
