I'll answer my own topic then shall I?

Looks ok I guess, £1 for 15mb, per day, but if you go over that it's £2 a MB. They also mention data bundles, but they are very vague so we'll see what they are. I am hoping it's an unlimited pak for £10ish pounds, plllleasssssse!

I wonder if we can use our text message allowance after the 15mb has been used?

well its a start, have registered for a call or email about the bundles. If they come up with somethng simullar to t mobile flex 35 + web n walk plus then perhaps ill get my n95 from them, but otherwise there is no point

This is very good news, although not before time.
I wonder how many customers Vodafone have lost to TMobile and 3 prior to sorting this out?
Vodafone need to try and innovate rather than playing catch up all the time.

Definately. It's no use having good 3g and hsdpa coverage if it costs you too much to use it. I wonder when we'll hear back about the bundle? I have got a bad feeling it'll be expensive. If you look at 3's deal you get a whopping 1 gb for £5, while the £1 a day works out at £30 for 450mb which isn't really that great, but am improvement.

does that mean i can now access vodafone live via wifi for free on my phone whereas before it was only via their own 3g portal which is really slow?

It's unlikely that this will be the case.
The removal of free browsing does not imply external access (effectively your wifi connection would be from the internet outside Vodafone) to live.

Why would you want to do that anyway? The aim of the game is to access the 'real' internet for less, via 3G.

Quick question then... For any ex 'Three' customers about you may be aware of the old 11.d get out clause that people jumped ship with some time ago...

Anyway I seem to remember that the equivalent clause in vodafones t&c's states they may make increases up to the rate of inflation each year... obviously if something was free and then becomes chargeable then there is an argument that they have made an infinite% increase for a service...

Grounds for getting out of your contract? I havent my T&Cs to hand but will check tonight and put a new topic on if I'm right...

Ok here it is... From Vodafone UK Pay Monthly T&Cs...

"a) You may end this Agreement immediately by writing to us if:-

we do not do what we have to do under this Agreement and do not put it right within 7 days of being asked in writing to do so;
all of the Services are permanently no longer available to you;
we increase the monthly (or other periodic line rental charge under clause 7a) and such increase (calculated as a percentage) is more than the increase in the Retail Prices Index Figure ("RPI", also calculated as a percentage) for the period from the month of the last increase (if any) to the month before we send the notice of the change in tariffs and you write to us before the increase takes effect. If we increase the monthly (or other periodic) line rental charge by more than the increase in the RPI we will tell you; or during the Term we increase in the United Kingdom and under clause 7a, call or other usage charges which have the effect of increasing your call or other usage charges by more than 10% or the increase in RPI calculated as in 8a above (which ever is the greater) based upon your previous call or usage pattern;
you write to us before the increase takes effect. "

So the relevant bit here is down to the 10% increase thing, basically if you have used vodafone live for any period of time and browsed any of Vodafones pages that were free under the old terms you have a case for cancellation without penalty.

You only have until the new structure comes into force though... The timers ticking, 1st of June is the deadline for commencing...

I'm off to start a new thread on this now... Link to follow as it doesnt really fit the purpose of this thread.

G...

Because it will now cost to go to vodafone live, whereas if i use my wifi it will cost me nothing.
