View Full Version : Really obscure questions

Ok, We all know the spec of the baby, whether it has blue eyes or brown, weight at birth, that stuff. But I have a bunch of questions that can really only be answered by someone who has actually got one. And at a guess I'd say other people do too. Questions about details of installed software, for example.
Here are mine (so far)
Will the baby play acrobat files? Does he have a pre-installed adobe reader, or do I need to d/l something, and if so what.
Really obscure question: does the powerpoint player in quickoffice actually play the animations on slides? early versions of quickoffice were limited in this respect. Would that be different if I bought the upgrade?
Given that I'm not a previous nokia buff, how useable is it trying to 'type' ect using the numeric keyboard? Seriously? T9 is not the same on all phones. :p

If its not pre-installed, you can download Acrobat for Symbian from Adobe's site here (http://www.adobe.com/uk/products/acrobat/readstep2_mobile.html#symbian), although it doesnt specifically say whether its for S60 v3 or not.

The T9 dictionary is very simple to use, i can't say it's changed much since nokia started using it! Space button is the 0 key if you're not used to Nokia's ;)
EDIT: Just discovered that once you've written the word you want, instead of pressing the * key, if you press either the up or down button on the scroller thingy, it will scroll through the words! Nice! :D

Adobe LE 1.5 is built in though it ran out of memory on 3 large files I tried to open (10mb files)

I opened a 3.5mb pps file no problems. It didn't play automatically but I could move from slide to slide without any problems.

I'll carry on the question vibe! What video formats do we have this time?

Can I ask a question aswel. In the music player do the tracks play back without gaps? On the old music software there was a small gap while starting a new track. This isn't so good for CD's where one song goes straight into the next. Does the N95 have this problem or is it fixed? Thanks.

Video formats:
3GPP formats (H.263), H.264/AVC, MPEG-4, RealVideo 7,8,9/10.
I'm not sure about the gaps... I'll try to find out.
OT: The speaker quality is quite amazing from such a small device.

What type of encription is your wireless network on?
Try dropping security on your router and see if the Nokia connects.
