Hello all,
i'm not here to complaint about Vodafone. I'm here to complaint about the monthly payments policy some companies have because i think it would happen exactly the same thing with some other company like T-Mobile or Orange,..
This is what happen to me and i do hope you take this as an advice specially if you have teens at home.
I had a contract with Vodafone for 2 years and a half (renewed). My family went here to visit me and i have internet at home along with the mobile that Vodafone had provided me. I let my nephew use the laptop to connect to the internet while i was working and as we all know sometimes we don't remember where we leave the mobile. The problem was that my nephew went to a adult chat website ( he's 16) where it was required to dial a number in order to access a website. He spent about 10 days doing that and i end up having an outstanding bill. My monthly payments were less than 10% of this bill. Took me a few months to pay the outstanding debt.
1- Two months after i signed the contract i asked Vodafone to have a limit in my phone. They said : NO!
2- When a customer usually pays a certain amount of money every single month for two years and suddenly has a bill that is 1000% more than he usually pays, they might think it's normal. They only call you to tell what's going on when the bill reaches several hundreds of pounds wich is a bit to late,...
3- They cancel my contract and i still had to pay the 6 months i had left. I do know, that during this period of time while i was paying my monthly contract, my number has been given to someone else.
4- If you don't have money to pay the full amount they send the bill to an agency and i believe this is not the right place to complaint about the agency because they put you stress sick!
5- My debt has been cleared not because of the agency but because i had money to pay it.
Best regards specially to those who have kids at home.
