Hey,
I am sure everyone has heard about the relaunch of Friends & Family and giving us just 5 codes a year!
Since they have taken approx 4 months to introduce this rule I think everyone should write ? Letters to **** ***** to put pressure on T Mobile to increase it to 10 at least and review it every 6 months!
I know there has been dodgy staff takin da mik with da discount but there is alot of genuine staff out there that need to pressure MR Taylor and get him to address this issue!

I am thanking everyone reading my rant about the Friends and Family discount and if you go on google and search for T Mobile Staff Forum by post comes in 2nd search I think T Mobile saw my rant and took notice of our feelings about friends and family! Its on page 5 of Staff Plan!!

Second of all I am a little worried about the way T Mobile have had no new offers for customers this month as the CPW next door are offering better deals than us i think customers sometimes ony buy full price from us as our store has been very nice to customers and have taken time to talk to them and try and be helpful as possible as otherwise I think stores overall would be alot behind!

Lastly Is everyone in T Mobile Retail being pressured about forcing customers selling insurance as I have stuck to my ways of giving customers a choice why get them to get it and get clawed back! My store is feeling like Phones 4u since we got a manager from Phones 4u on Monday I am close to quitting the store for another store as my insurance target is good and I dont need it force every customer to take it as its spoils our long term relationship with customers as they will go elsewhere otherwise afterwards!!

Please lets talk about these issues raised as I need your views!!

Its thanks to some retail staff and their actions, that the reduction to 5 codes is company wide, for those departments who are faithful to the company and do work hard, were are being punished aswell. Thankfully our department is being outsourced so we can go to pastures new in a bigger better company.

The amusing thing is that I got three new connections off friends and family because of this deal. I realise that these contracts are only worth 50% of their normal value, but it also means three less connections for O2 or Vodafone!

Is the new ruling for Head Office as well, which means 5 F&F for Head Office or is it just Retail and some other departments!

Even worse Carphone has an offer N95 flext 35 with 3 years free sat nav on t-mobile, we can't even offer that in our own stores, what the hell is the network doing allowing a rival to constantly out strip us with promotions like these. People in our marketing dept wake the hell up or simply do what i think will happen in the next few years, we will have no stores cause simply we cannot do the right deals on the high street anymore!

is it really appropriate to discuss half this stuff on an open forum?friends and family is a privilage, but alot of people seemed to think it was a statutory right like sick pay. it is a staff benifit.

By god do I feel sorry for you! I cannot stand phones 4 u (this is sorta for a different thread), the b*******.

Though you can expect my support for your campaign for more f&f contracts.

daprince i have heard that some stores do daily sales observations on every member of staff, this is another phones 4 u thing, also it seems insurance sales are more important than the actual phone or any other part of the customer service experience, all i can say to the manager of stores that place an emphasis on insurance is this, if staff want to sell insurance they will work for an insurance company not a mobile phone company, oh i am so glad i left when i did lol.

lol, yeah. p4u are very very very comission based. even when i told them i wasant 18 for another 3 months the supervisor got the manager to come over who was obviously desperate for his share of my cash. all they were doing was saying "is there anything i can do to make you buy it now?". essentially he offered me my second choice of phone (they didnt have my first) for free and interestingly managed to knock £35 off the £40 tarriff they were offering me

compare that to the fantastic salespeople in the t-mobile shop 60 paces down the road (bullring, birmingham), who were very welcoming, talked me through the deal exactly as it would be, talked me through all the features of the device i was looking at (the vario 3/tytn 2) and were genuinely really nice people

I can safely say that I will most probably be joining a t-mobile contract early next year if that is the sort of service i can expect from the retail stores. I'd just like to commend you guys on your great work, despite the many complaints i seem to hear about your outcources colleagues in customer service :). You deserve to be rewarded more than you seem to be getting (what is it you get, out of interest?)

what are we thinking of the new commission structure? does anyone else see through the hole "lets divide the targets by 5 and award a fifth the number of points for sales?" anyone form hatfield, here is an idea, ay us £5 fr every fresh, £4 fr every ugrade and £2 for every pre. set a trigger point on the box target so we still focus on volume to and pat us £3 for insurance. this way the bigger busyer stores will benefit more (sorry to the little stores, but i have worked in big and small stores and the guy's in the big stores work so much harder in general, with more repairs etc anc CS issues as well as the usual **** that you get anyway) this rubbish with the OTB etc is not on.in a busyer store i can exect a target twice the size of a small store round the corner so i have to do twice the volume to earn the same money.this is rubbish.

From when i worked at t-mobile the commission structure stank and by the sounds of it still does. But come on bigger stores should have a bigger target to hit, you claim to be working harder therefore you target should be achieved in a shorter time than a member of staff in a smaller store. Talk about wanting your cake and eat it

yes, but if someone was to say to you, you can work this hard and earn this ammount of money or you can work **** loads harder and earn the same, what would you do?? i'm not objection to higher targets, i'm objecting to workign two or three times harder and sellingmore than a lot of the smaller stores but still walking away with the same or less money. it's not so much having your cake and eating it (which as a term of frace makes little sense anyway, why wouldn't you wanna eat cake??cake is good!!)

on another note is this not a forum for employee's?not just random punters who want to blag half rice discount etc.
