Vapourware? Mockups? Leaked prototype units? You decide...

N98 could be a proto but that N99 is a photoshop - it must be. It appears to have MS word on it, unless of course it runs windows mobile. But it screams photoshop to me.

Neither of them look real to me. The Nokia logo on the N98 looks like its on the plastic covering the screen. It really doesn't look like a phone that Nokia would produce. (A new operating system for starters)

I thought the N98 looked bogus personally. The N99 appears to be using the same keypad design on the really low-end monochrome Nokia of a few years back (the one with the membrane keyboard).

It could be a concept device with a mocked-up screen, though.

Moving this to the rumors section.

They both look fake to me...the N99 more so....MS Word in a screen shot, Keypad of the Nokia 1100 no chance. The N98 appears to be a different phone with a plastic nokia logo on the top. The design of the OS also appears to be very un nokia.

As I see there is a azhbuka(russian alphabet) and I think that is a 100% fake. Russians and Chinesse companies doesn't care about licences so they making any phones and released it as "new model". For example chinese NOKIR 730 is nothing else than "modified" Nokia N73...

The N98 is a PS'd K800. Look at the grill on the top where the out of position Nokia logo is. That grill is from the k800.

Prices are in roubles, to convert it to us$, you must divide it by 26.5
Pretty cheap, aren't these? Actually i'm going to go check them out at the store...seems pretty interesting...especially 'n95s' thing, could it be a nokia clone?

If that N99 at the top is real it would be a very nice phone...but 8 megapixel camera for a phone..especially a kinda PDA one like that seems a little farfetched. All the other "nokias" on this page look like SE type phones in my opinion.

Sorry to dissapoint, but from experience none of these are real. They are all fake clones. The easiest thing to do is to look back at the range. All the way back from the N70 the Nseries range have all had a similar style, which is silver front and plum back. NO handsets are black (expect the music edition ones) so the chances of them suddenly releasing a black phone are slim to none. You can just tell aswell that those designs arent practical. I mean have you seen the size of those keys on one of them. With my big fingers I would have no chance with that!

Thanks, chaslam!
I do know that these items are not original nokia phones, but sellers are claiming these are copies of original nokia phones. well, some of phones look like nokia clones, but others look pretty alien. I'm still going to visit the store and have a look.
Could nokia have a factory in china? I know that chinese manufacturers often repack and sell for a low price gadgets they produce for foreign companies. My friend is going to china to buy himself a chinese copy of some Mark Levinson amplifier.

p.s. A smartphone for $160?

Hi! some days ago I discovered a chinese manufacturer that sells Nokia phones at low prices. What a surprise when I saw that they also have Nokia N98 and N99!
Well, I know that all of them are clones, but are actually working well?
Zamuro, did you finally buy a cellphone from that russian store?
