I am currently on the Web n Walk plan for laptops. I use an Option Globetrotter 3G+ datacard. I am thinking about upgrading to Windows Vista and am not sure whether the datacard would work. Will the Communication centre software work? If not can I use windows Dial up networking to connect? Please help.
Got a solution:
TMCC 2.10 is for use with the web'n'walk data card and Windows Vista

Have you tried downloading and running the Vista upgrade advisor from Microsoft?

Communication centre wont work with VIsta, the drivers for Vista are currently in development, you can however allow windows to manage the connection which does work. http://www.3g.co.uk/3GForum/showthread.php?t=48832
The above is for XP but same rules apply to Vista, the only thing is the path may vary in the vista menu.
p.s ensure communication center is installed as it contains the modem drivers which windows requires

I called T-Mobile this morning having visited Option's site (http://www.option.com/news/detail05.cfm?newsitemgroup_id=527) which tells me that their drivers have been Vista-compatible since 12 February, and T-Mobile told me that their supplier (not Option, but their software developers) have tested the patches (??) and discovered that they corrupt the registry.
T-M also told me that it could be months before their software is ready. This truly amazes me, considering that Microsoft released Vista to the developer community last May so that any updates would be ready when Vista hit the streets last November. It is now March 2007 and T-Mobile seem to be prevaricating more than somewhat.:speechles

Just started a small blog about Vista and this card, check it here http://www.webnwalkvista.com/ It includes instructions how to install the Vista software.

Just got off the phone from T-Mobile's technical help. He explained that there are no drivers at all for Windows Vista 64 bit as yet, but they are looking into it as we speak. I asked how long would it be before anything would be released, and he said he didn't know but possibly some time this year, because of testing it would be later rather than sooner this year. Hope this helps.
