Good Evening,
I am looking into how I can connect to the internet via a mobile....
Just wondered what sort of internet connection speed you can get from this method? What would be the best phone to use? I am on a Flext 35 tariff with TMobile - do you know how much extra they would charge me?
Many Thanks

Depending on what you do it starts at £7.50 a month for a 1Gb data bundle. Speed wise up to 56k GPRS, 384K 3G, 1.8mb HSDAP - don't expect to reach the maximums though - I typically avearge 30k ish on GPRS and 700-900k on HSDPA. If you want HSDPA you'll need either the Vario II or the new Samsung phone (sorry don't know it's name).

If you want to pay more than T-Mobile charge yes, but their own retail shops or online store is generally the cheapest place (apart from ebay).

Look for the mda vario 2 or the samsung z560. Both are 'hsdpa' enabled.

There is a coverage checker that you can use for your coverage.

I think they're currently contract only through the shop (but at the full retail price on expansys (MDA Vario 2 = HTC Tytn, you're probably best getting them on a contract).
