Can someone please clear up the answer to following question.

I work for t-mobile retail and I recently bought a phone on t-mobile which was on the flext 35 (18month). I have been told i have to wait 3 months to put the number on a staff plan. My question is when my number is put on the staff plan what happens if you leave t-mobile say for example 6 months after its been put on the staff plan does it

a) You have the option to cancel the contract with t-mobile when you leave.
b) the contract will revert back to the plan you took out originally i.e. Flext 35 (18month) contract.


The reason i am asking is because i spoke too staff plan customer care and they have said you can cancel the contract when you leave but fellow employees in t-mobile stores say it will revert back to the plan you took out originally.

i work for t-mobile as well.

as far as i know if you leave it will revert back to the original flext plan. just make sure it's on friends and family.

i'm not sure if you can cancel it.

If the phones on the Staff Plan and you leave you can either cancel the contract as the staff plan has no commitment period, or can revert it back to flext with friends and family. I think theres a 30 day period after you leave that you need to contact SSR to notify them that you no longer work for t-mob.

hi thanks for the replies but agian i am getting to different opinions i heard that if you work for customer care you can cancel the contract but if you work for t-mobile retail then you can't has anyone had a staff plan and the left t-mobile if so what happened

If you work for any part of t-mobile and have a TMUK staff plan, you cannot cancel untill the end of your commitment, which is currently 12 months, if you leave the company then you can convert the plan to a flext tarrif

Staff plan, as I said, has no commitment period, its in the t&c's of the staff plan. I know 2 people who have ported out of T-Mob as they got jobs at O2, inside 12months of having the staff plan, there is no commitment period. It's on messenger if your in CS, or if not call SSR to confirm anything about it, they'll know more than any of us, thats what they deal with all day! :)

I checked messenger and your correct steve_7 if you dont inform Staff Plan customer care within 28days of leaving t-mobile then you staff plan contract is terminated. If you do tell them you can continue on the family and freinds discount for remaining length of the contract
