Mda Vario 2 installing problem!!! help

So i just received the vario 2 a few days ago. I am having a problem installing software such as the agile messenger.

I have transferred all my .exe files onto my micro sd. Now when i launch the applications for installation an error message comes up:

" agile messenger is not a valid Pocket Pc Application"

Now, i get prompted with this for every installer files, Although they are all meant to be windows mobile 5 and vario 2 compatible.

Any help would be highly apreciated, I may just be completely doing the wrong thing.

I think, but don't quote me, you need to install the installer file for the application you're trying to install, not just the .exe file. I think the file extension is something like .cab .
I maybe wrong, but I'm sure it's something like that.

Yes you need the .cab files

or you could install the exe on a windows machine cable connected to the Vario and with active sync installed. It will then install the program via the cable.
