Unlocking a Vodafone K800i

My mum upgraded her phone to the K800i and let me have it, cos shes nice like that(!!), but its locked to vodafone and i am on O2.

All the shops i have gone to say it cant be unlocked, can anyone advise how i can go about getting it unlocked.

It can be unlocked, via the network. Or try www.thedaviniciteam.com for unlocking. And for debranding try www.wotanserver.com. Both are good. I've unlocked 3 handsets from davinci.

When you say by the network, do you mean call up vodafone and ask them to unlock it?

Yes, ring vodafone and ask for the code.

Vodafone can unlock your handset, for a cost of £19.99.

It will need to be you mum who requests it, as the charge will need to be applied to a Vodafone number.

To get the phone unlocked, either ask your mum to call Customer Services on 191, or ask her to go to www.vodafone.co.uk, then contact us. She will then be able to send us a quick email.
She will need to include
* mobile number
* IMEI number
* Handset make and model

If she also includes FIT135 anywhere in the body of the text, it will be routed to a team who monitor public forums.

Hi there, I am planning on buying the k800i soon from vodafone but I want to use my 3 sim in it. Is it possible to go into my local vodafone shop, ask them for the code and hand over £20 for it?
