i have been advised that i must give 30 days notice to cancel a line i have with vodafone (i have two lines in total). the contract expires on 05.01.07 and i have sent them two letters to confirm cancellation!
just spoke to them now and they are still claiming they havent recieved either letter (i am sending to the address on the back of my statement whih is po box 549, banbury etc etc).
i am becoming really frustrated as i do not want to have to send another letter then wait for them to recieve it and then wait 30 days for them to cancel it!!!!!!!
are they allowed to request cancellation in writing, the contract was only taken out until 05.01.07 so surely i am not obliged to do anything other than give them a curteosy call to cofirm i no longer want it!
i am sick of writing letters and am just thinking of taking both lines else where!!!:tired:

Hiya Melanie 154

Sorry to hear of the problem your having cancelling your account.
It is correct that written notice has to be given by post or fax. If sending in notice, we do advise recorded delivery.
If you'd like us to look into it for you, you can go to www.vodafone.co.uk, then contact us. If you include FIT135 in the body of the text, it will get routed to someone who can help.

With the account due to cancel on the 5th, Customer service might be able to sort out a cancellation for that date for you Melanie

I'm an ex VF Staff member and with clarification from a supervisor was able to do so, Might be worth a try for ya
