Take everything they say to you with a pinch of salt (or in this case a handful of salt!). When it comes to new phones, esspecially ones that arent out yet, 3 staff tend to know nothing. I mean have they had a training course on The N95, being told that it wont be free on any tariffs and are expecting it may/april? I doubt it alot. Ive been told the complete opposite. Ive been told it wont be as expensive as people think, and it may be earlier then we think aswell. To be honest, hes probably just taking a guess so I wouldnt listen to then, as you can probably find out more on here.

Not sure if any of our London based forum users read the Metro but there was a small section on nw gadgets hitting the shelves in the next few months and the N95 was there. It was down as Feb/March release but the best bit was:
Price - £375
Seems a bit low (and too good to be true) but if Nokia will finally lower prices to try and make their high end phones mass marketable like SE did with the K800 then im sure there will be a lot of happy fans out there.

would love one of these but am not going to kill myself to get one or get too stressed LOL ok i probably will :D

Yeah exactly. I wont be rushing out to buy this either. Look at the n93. £600 at time of release (and you can expect the n95 to start at that if not higher) and now its under £400 sim free in some places.

the phone will be free. all the shops will be doing it for free on certain tarriffs, and the networks won't want cancellations at time of upgrade, or worse, the dreaded churn...

Maybe a good price plan indicator would be looking at the N93 on 3 tarrifs. The n95 should be around the same if not a little more expensive.

Im not sure about this. It could be correct, but Im thinking it will be alot cheaper. Let me explain.
The N93 is ONLY available on 3 via stores and website, and is not available on any other network (apart from indirectly through o2, and I think over the phone on vodafone, but not alot of people know that). Because of this, three can charge what they like for the phone. Notice that all the phones on 3 that are available on other networks are at competitive prices, however, the N93 isnt because it isnt easily accessable on other networks. Three are clever with this and know they can charge what they like. I suspect the N95 will be on all the major networks, so they have no choice but to price it more competitively.
Secondly, the N95 is more of a mass consumer phone, whereas the N93 isnt. Only people that want the N93 will buy it. But, The N95 is more of a handset where, when people go out to buy a new phone, will grab eyes because of all its features and size.
Personally, I think it will be alot cheaper then the N93, with alot more competitive prices.

And with the downgrade penalty now in effect it would probabaly be wiser to go for sim free after 2 months or so when the prices have normalised.

There are plenty of other threads where we have already been discussing this- what I do know is that it will be pitched at a lower price than T-Mobile, who are their (apparently) direct competitors. Therefore I would say that it would be free on the £50 or above tariffs, and only on 18 month contracts in that event.

They have also told me that - but cannot give a specific date.
CS do not have a date at all and no news. The high street shops have told me that it is being tested.
And someone on here pointed out that Three are not getting it at all.
You decide................

To keep the forum tidy, can we please keep all release date issues to the N95 Release Date (http://www.3g.co.uk/3GForum/showthread.php?t=53845) thread please.
