Sorry for a stupid question as i know "Network debates" can be silly.

But whose best for 12 monthes contracts?

In the catagory of

signal

customer services

good negoations after 12 months for better deal

network performace

customer satifaction

value for money.

im looking at a deal between the 25-30£ a month area.

O2 online vs orange online. Whose best for that price? Note 3g is good buts its not essential so that does not have to be a factor as i know orange 3g is better fullstop.

cheers for any advice. Also if you can show any deals to support your reply that'll be good.

I don't know much about O2 I'm affriad. But I am on Orange.
I am very happy with them. Lots of people moan and complain about them - but I am more than happy with their service in all areas. You can also upgrade with 3 months left (not sure about O2 on this).

Orange 12 month contracts in your price range:

Dolphin £25: 75mins 600texts
Racoon £25: 100mins 50texts +150landline mins
Racoon £30: 200mins 50texts +300landline mins
Canary £30: 200mins 75texts +150Orange evening/weekend mins

(You mention that 3G is not essential, but I will mention that Orange have Unlimited evening and weekend internet browsing for £5 per month.)

These are the O2 12month plans:
Online £25: 125mins 300texts
Online £30: 250mins 500texts
Both of these include 1MB per month of internet.

Oh, also Orange now charge 1p per message delivery report, if that is important for you.

Dolphin £35 550 mins, unlimited texts and free broadband 2mb

Racoon £35 550mins, 200 texts, unlimited landline calls and free broadband 2mb

I would go with O2 as someone who signed up for a Orange contract in June the 650 mins, 1100 text and free broadband sounds good for £30 but I have been overcharged by aprox £30 and the broadband is oversubscribed. Don't forget the rude customer service ( if you can get through) and in my experience the O2 network gives me a stronger signal (I still have my PAYG O2 phone ).

well i decided to go with o2 anyway the signal is prob better in my area. Been with their PAYG service for a while and i have no probs. I found a tariff that suited me fine.

Cheers for input.
