Im I right in thinking that if i need to get my phone replaced 3 or more times within a contract i can get a different phone? I remember this used to be the case on other networks but does it happen with orange?

Can anyone talk me through the procedure?

Cheers

Matt

I don't know about replaced 3 times - it used to be if the same phone was repaired 3 times.

Are the replacements due to known issues with the phone? If so it may be you can claim it is 'not fit for the purpose.'

I have had one of my phones replaced with a differen type of phone. It was only after they failed to repair it after several attemts and after they sent me some one elses phone which still did not work.

When I phoned Orange last night with the intention of taking a contract with them on this phone they told me that they had discontinued this phone due to the many problems that they had with the N80.

Just found out. If you get the same fault 3 times you can get a replacement handset.

hi mate, just to let you know i was going through the same thing! i have a n80... replaced 3 times by orange. contacted handset faults who to be honest are a waste of space! all they did wass pass it to techincal to get the problem sorted... 3 months later still nothing... finally i decided to pull the " i want you manager" line... seemed to work... they they offered me a early upgrade... so i got to keep the phone i have for 10 days (4th replacement) and get a brand new w850i for free :D sold the n80 on ebay for about £200 paid off me orange bill and pocketed the rest... a exchange for the hone would of been easier but waiting a extra 3 days for a early upgrade was worth 200, they also waved a £280 uipgrade fee!
