Hi guys, noobie question, but thats what the forums for right ? !!!!

anyway, ive just bought a m3100 phone with orange (please no, tmobile !!! comments) and obviously im keen to make use of data services, email sync, msn mobile etc etc.

Ive been looking at the Orange World unlimited evening and weekend, primaraly because the daytime peak usage costs are capped at 1.50ukp a day ?

My account bundle addons currently looks as per below

30 Mins Video Calling Try
Free Unlimited Ev&Wk OW 2Mth
Pay As You Use Data


Can anyone decifer this ? does that mean im on a trial of the 5ukp a month data package , unlimited data at evening and weekend and cap of 1.50 a day ? or not ?

also, is there any way to see how much data you have used, and how much you have been charged using the online interface ?

I think the bundles work out as follows

1. 30 mins free video calling for a limited time (trial package) (could be up to 2 months)

2. free unlimited evening and weekend calls, but I dont know what the ow 2mth means (but could be time limited).

3. payg data usage ie web browing email etc and is expensive on payg, I think my recent data usage was around 2.5 meg of data which cost me around £5-00

Hi Acantril

you dont need to buy any bundles yet, certainly not the eve/weekend one because you already have that free!
'Free Unlimited Ev&Wk OW 2Mth' bundle is 2 months of unlimited evening (after7) and weekend Orange World access.
the 'pay as you use' is standard for all accounts for access at any other time.
If you think you might use it a fair amount during the day over the next 2 months you could get a OW4 bundle for up to 4meg access, that is £4 per mnth.
At the end of the free trial period you will automatically roll over into the charging eve/weekend anyway!! if you decide you dont want it call CS to get it cancelled.

Its a standard thing on orange any changes that you want to make only take effect from the next billing cycle.

There is some info about what you you can try with orange on their web site here, it looks like they have reduced the trial lengths down to 2 months or less depending on what you try.

No, the 2mnth trial bundle is unlimited usage at evenings and weekends.

Pav is correct in saying that any account changes are done on the billing date, think that is true of all networks. But is only for tariff changes etc.
The purchase of bundles, ie. text bundles, Data, photo messaging and the like can be added at any time during the month, start on that day but be charged for, pro-rata, on the next bill.
